COMMITMENT NEEDED BY: 7/13
Noby
- Doberman Pinscher
- 5 years old
- Neutered male
- 83 pounds
- Heartworm positive (completed doxycycline; ready to begin treatment)
Noby entered the shelter in July 2025 after being found severely emaciated and abandoned in a kennel. He has spent the past year recovering in foster care.
Foster notes: Noby is a sweet, affectionate, and intelligent Doberman who loves people and is a true Velcro dog. He enjoys puzzle toys, knows basic commands, crates well, and has no known food resource guarding. He will cuddle with other dogs, but only on his terms and prefers that they respect his personal space. He has recently shown unpredictable conflict with the resident senior male dog despite no obvious trigger, culminating in an altercation that requires him to leave the foster home. The foster believes he would do best as an only dog or with a Doberman-experienced rescue that can provide further behavioral assessment, as past trauma or incompatibility with the resident dogs may be contributing factors.
Returning to the shelter July 7th
