Title: Development of an affordable Insulin pump for type-1 diabetic patients in resource constrained settings.

 

Lab/Affiliation: UTSAAH Lab, CPDM, Indian Institute of Science

 

Salary: As per IISc. norms (22-24k PM for Project Assistant;  30-33k PM for Project Associate)

 

Essential Qualifications: B.Tech/M.Tech in ECE/EEE/Instrumentation with sound knowledge in Embedded Systems, Circuit Design, Board Bring-up, Bluetooth/RF Communication

 

Desirable Skills: Knowledge about quality systems for medical devices and EMC standards, good documentation skills, must be a team player (the nature of work demands coordination with several people involved in the project).

 

Task:

The selected staff is expected to

1.            Develop firmware to control a mechatronic system (Insulin Pump)

2.            PCB design as per medical standards

3.            Carry out board bring-up including software tests, assembly test, hardware test and firmware test

4.            Carry out documentation for aforementioned steps

 

Commitment Required: 1-1.5 years, starting as soon as possible.
