This Center of Excellence will be part of AIG's creative force behind discerning risk selection and optimal pricing. The initial functions planned for the Center of Excellence are:

• Catastrophe account modeling at the point of underwriting
• Catastrophe portfolio modeling for risk management, analytics and optimization
• Catastrophe model R&D for developing automation tools, customized models and GIS applications
• Risk engineering to perform risk assessment in support of underwriting and loss prevention
• Actuarial for risk segmentation, pricing and reserving analysis.
