Job Description:
The MEMS Lab at the Centre for Nano Science and Engineering (CeNSE), IISc is looking for a Project Assistant/Research Associate in the field of Electronics for the design and development of a multi-channel, high-speed data acquisition system for ultrasound transducers.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelors/Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or Instrumentation Engineering
• Experience in the design of analog circuits for amplifiers and signal conditioning – including simulation in TINA/LTSpice, component selection, design of matching circuits, etc
• Working knowledge of embedded electronics and programming in C/C++
• Experience with design of multi-layer PCB layouts using Altium or equivalent tool
• Experience with FPGA development in Verilog/VHDL, and high-speed data interfaces like LVDS desirable
• Strong work ethic, ability to work independently, and a willingness to learn and grow Hiring and Remuneration:
• The contract will be for a period of one year starting from the date of joining, with a two-month probation period.
• Remuneration will be as per IISc norms, based on educational qualifications and previous experience.
• The contract may be extended subject to performance and requirements.
• This job does not allow for work-from-home, and physical presence in the institute is
essential.
About MEMS Lab, CeNSE:
The MEMS Lab at CeNSE is headed by Prof. Rudra Pratap and is involved in the development of microscale sensors and transducers. We have a wide portfolio of pressure sensors, acceleration sensors, gyroscopes, ultrasound and acoustic transducers, all of which are designed, developed, fabricated, and tested within the CeNSE ecosystem. With some of the most advanced fabrication and characterization facilities in the Nation, CeNSE is at the forefront of cutting-edge sensor development.
