Random Hacks of Kindness, Bangalore is conducting a hackathon for the Humanitarian community on 11th July'15.
I'm attaching the event poster and some details about past hackathons.
This is a community led humanitarian hackathon conducted twice an year. The duration of the hackathon is 48 hours during which we be will hacking on various humanitarian issues.
We bring together a group of technology experts from industry and academia and then subject matter experts from development sector (NGOs, etc) pitch problem statements to them. The techies form groups, pick a problem statement and start hacking over the weekend to come up with an app or proof of concept of the tech solution.
Who can participate in this event :
1. Technologists who wish to use their coding and making skills to do good.
2. NGOs and Communities who would need a technology solution to their problems
