Ihighly recommend a laptop. You can go to Xbox live. Wireless Xbox controller. Easier on space. Piggyback off your phone's internet. Alienware R17 is nice? add a terabyte or two for an external hard drive and reload when you go home.
I played my xbox one all the time when I was OTR. I used my phones hotspot for the internet and i had a 32" tv tucked away at the end of my bed and wrapped it in a blanket to cushion it. Its very easy to so especially if you have an APU.
On tractor trailers, and APU is a small diesel engine that powers a heat and air conditioning unit while charging the truck's main batteries at the same time. This allows the driver to remain comfortable in the cab and have access to electric power without running the main truck engine.
Having an APU helps save money in fuel costs and saves wear and tear on the main engine, though they tend to be expensive to install and maintain. Therefore only a very small percentage of the trucks on the road today come equipped with an APU.
I have my Xbox in my truck. I have a 1500 watt wired in inverter. My Xbox and tv usually pull between 80 and 120 watts depending on how graphic intensive a game is. If you can't do a wired in inverter. 200-300 watt plug in style should work for you.
I store my tv the exact same way. When on a reset, I installed a couple hooks on the back that allow me to hang it over a strong tension rod. Plug everything into the inverter and good to go. Xbox is a great way to kill the time.
I have a Ps4 and desktop computer in my truck. My TV is 40", but because Swift uses shorter sleepers on the flatbed trucks, it won't fit at the end of my bed (shelf behind the passenger seat curves out and over the bed). So I made a couple of brackets and when I park I hang it on the top center shelf in the cascadia. When I'm driving it is laying face down on my bed with my blanket over it.
I don't do much gaming, but I use my chromecast to watch the Braves game most nights. I only really play my Ps4 on 34 hour resets or if I'm shut down earlier in the day with a late start the next day. I use my iPad as a Hotspot whenever I want to play online or download updates.
