We are a bran-new web site that is dedicated to anime artists. This is our
second monthly news letter, and the end of our first contest. This is very
exciting because we have nearly 20 art entries for our October contest and
Voting begins today. So make sure you stop by to vote for your favorite
picture.

Welcome to the first ever Metreon Festival of Anime. Not a large
convention, although no anime convention is large the first time around.
There was a few booths, a few workshops and the most hard core anime fans.

The Case of the Pilfered Paintings!
YES!!! IT'S TRUE!!! They are gone! The paintings in our gallery have been
PILFERED!!!! The culprit is at large... we have only a few leads, and leaky
ones at that. We're dealing with a professional, no finger prints, no foot
prints, no prints at all. We need everyone's help on this, we can't catch
the criminal by ourselves. If you have any leads, photos, or just gut
feeling please send them to us.

Submit a drawing, painting, photograph or flash animation of what you think
will be the deciding factor to solving this case. The winning picture will
help decide the rest of the story. The winner will also get to choose their
prize from our prize vault. Remember to be as creative as possible!
Rules:
Your entry must have something to do with the case above. May be original
characters or characters from existing manga or anime. You may use what
ever medium you feel like.
There is no limit to the number of entries.
Entries must be scanned and emailed in JPG, GIF or SWF (flash) formats.
No copying! If you are caught copying existing artwork your piece will be
not be an eligible submission.
Submission:

Include the artist's name, title of picture, and web site if you have one.
Your work will be reviewed and posted under "Entries" usually within a
couple of days.
Entries will be judged by you! From December 1st to 15th voting will be
open.

PRIZES!!!
There are now Anime DVDs in the prize vault! One prize will be taken out
and given to the winner of the October art contest however there will be
one more prize added! We need feed back to see what the fans want to see
more of in the prize vault. We are trying to get our act together and build
a poll on the front page of the office. My poor half human half cat brain
is working as hard as it can to figure out how to do that along with many
other things...

Now that we have so many excellent entries in our Halloween contest you
need to make sure that the best one wins. You only get 1 vote so make sure
it counts! Go to the entries page, choose your favorite picture and then
click the "Vote" button. The talented (notice i used the word talented not
lucky) winner will be announced on the 16th and will get to chose their
prize from the prize vault.
Last month people weren't able to vote because we didn't have a contest
that needed voting on. Our site is too new ~.~ This month you can vote. So
get all your friends to vote to make sure that the picture you like will
win for sure!

Last months winner
This is the best! You can check all of the previous winners that our site
has and see the type of art that has been submitted. Oh wait! We haven't
had any previous winners, so until the 16th of November you will just have
to make sure that your new art entry is going to be the best.
So next news letter you can expect to see the picture of the previous
month's winner right here! If you can't wait that long, get in your time
machine and time-travel you butt to the 1st of December and read the next
email. What!? You don't have a time machine... Psh, get with the program,
they are like DVD players, you can't be cool unless you have one. Oh, wait,
I still need to get a DVD player and a time machine!

Upcoming Events
Finally the events! And here they are in order by date:
1. Our next anime art contest!
2. Whiteboard meetings at 8:00PM Pacific.
Currently we have a really puny white board. However we are going to buy a
really nice and large White board. We fond out that we are in the top 5%
highest traffic white board and ours is rinky dink (Don't tell holly I said
"Rinky Dink.") That's right Anime Artists, we are spending more money for
your personal pleasure. I hope you enjoy this because this is lots of money
for an unemployed person like myself. So come on in, bring your friends,
draw, chat and have a good time.
3. Web board Rants! jessebox.com/phpBB
As an artists my self, I often times get so frustrated at the computer or
my art projects the best way for me to vent is to rant! What better place
to do it than to do in public! We might even hold some sort of a rant
contest in the near future if people like ranting a lot. The best part
about these rants is you can rant right back at the other person. Don't
hold anything back otherwise the rants won't work.

What's new
Our site is still new however we have over 1,150 unique hits and we are
just starting our second month! Thank you everyone!
What have we added since our first news letter? We have added a nice web
board (http://jessebox.com/index.php) A kick butt splash page with 3 images
that rotate randomly, a really cool art gallery that needs help being
filled (http://jessebox.com/art/gallery/index.php), we added a new
employee, to our staff. Check it out in our profiles section. Expect an
article about him in our next news letter.
One of the major things we are trying to get to take off is our Office Work
section. There you will find mad libs where you can be as creative as the
words you come up with (http://jessebox.com/art/office_work/index.php) We
need lots of help making new office work. And we hope to have a tutorial
for making mad libs in our new tutorial section! ^.^
Lots more stuff has been added, I have been too busy to remember all of the
stuff that Holly and I have put up. We are sure you will be interested in
at least one of the things on our site ^.^ Still we are all about the art
contests and giving away anime prizes!

Something extra!
Something extra!!! Geez! As if this news letter didn't have enough content!
Here I am sitting at my computer on Halloween night typing this. I'm sure
there isn't anything I should be doing.... Oh wait! I could be going to a
halloween party! So I think I will! You poor suckers are stuck here reading
this news letter while I'm going to be off par-tae-ing! Oh wait, I forgot I
wasn't invited to a Halloween party. So I'm going to invite all of you over
to my house to party with me! Okay be at my house October 31st 7:00pm. Ha
ha! with all these news readers it'll be the best party yet! Oh crap! this
news letter doesn't go out tell tomorrow! ARGH! okay I guess I should have
planned this a little better.
