PERTH ORGANIC GARDENERS - SEPT Sunday 21st 2014 Forest Orchard

We have been invited to visit an amazing Forest Orchard which belongs to one of our members, Gerben de Vries.  It starts at 11am and we should hopefully see lots of varieties of apples, some late plums and flowers.  This is a visit one should not miss the forest and orchards are beautiful. Tea, coffees and home bakes are to be provided. 

Non members are invited to attend this event.  To join our group the cost is £12.50 for individual membership and £20.00 for joint.  Also for those who are non members you have received this email as you have previously expressed an interest in POG.  If you no longer wish to receive emails from us, please reply to this email with "unsubscribe" in the subject box and we will remove you from our mailing list.

There is parking for circa 5 cars in the yard, and plenty of (temp) facilities in the (very quiet) road.

It is recommended that visitors bring 'stout' footwear as some paths are rocky.

No dogs please as there are a variety of wild birds which roam through the forest.

Hi Jill or terry,

both Brian and I hope to come to this. Is it definatley 21 September as I had it down for the 5th October as we had put the apple scrunching as Sunday 12th October? Have we got the machines booked from Roger Humphreys?

We have had to change the date of Orchard visit due to circumstances.  As far as scrunching is concerned, Roger now has nothing to do with the press hire and was going to get the woman who does do it to contact me - that was over a week ago so will have to somehow chase up. Have you ever tried banging your head against a brick wall!!!

I have just spoken to a friend who contacted Roger Humphry on the phone number I gave you as she wants the press for her church group and he is dealing with the apple press.. In fact he told her he could only give her a date once the regular groups such as Perth Organic had got a date. Did you speak to him before because it seems he is still doing it,
