New CES server fund raising

As most members already know Perth Community Exchange is part of the CES system.

I have responded to a post on the Community Exchange ning social
networking site asking to help raise legacy dollars towards
purchasing a new server. At the moment there does not seem to be any
hardware vendors that can sell the hardware to them for CES currency.

I wondering is Perth Exchange members would be interested in a fund
raising effort such as a car wash or a hotchocolate/tea/coffee and
cake sale to raise legacy dollars towards the new server.

We could actually pay people in CX credits for helping in the project
and all the legacy dollars raises would go directly to the CES.
I am trying to get some more specifications out of them first though
to see what kind of budget is required.

Ideally it would not be us working alone to raise the money but every
active exchange in the CES system. We only need 10 exchanges to raise
$200USD each to raise $2000USD and that would buy them quite a decent
Dell server and UPS.
