Cloud computing options

How easily could the notary server move into scalable cloud computing environments like AWS Lambda or Beanstalk? If feasible, it could mean a big boost to the number and reliability of notaries.

I suppose Lambda would make it difficult to ensure geographic diversity - although having a single notary on Lambda might still be worthwhile, since it's almost infinitely scalable and could still catch attackers very close to the client. Beanstalk instances could easily be allocated to different regions, which seems ideal.
