Install Internet Download Manager (IDM) to stop waiting for your downloads. You will be truly amazed how fast IDM downloads your files. IDM will also repair broken and resume interrupted downloads due to lost connections, network problems, computer shutdowns, or unexpected poweroutages.

Our powerful download engine uses unique algorithms to receive Internet data in a fastest possible way.IDM will accelerate downloads all times because of its innovative dynamic filesegmentation technology. Unlike other download managers and accelerators, IDM segmentsdownloaded files dynamically during download process, and it reuses available connections without additional connectand login stages to achieve the best possible acceleration performance. Our engineers have a lot of experience indownload acceleration, and we constantly improve this download engine since 1999.

Internet Download Manager can connect to the Internet at a set time, download the files you want, disconnect, or shut down your computer when it's done. You can also synchronize changes using periodic synchronization of files. It's possible to create and schedule several download queues for downloading or synchronization.

You may choose the order, buttons and columns to appear on the main IDM window. There are several different skins for the toolbar with different button styles. All skins can be downloaded from IDM home site. Also users can design their own skins. Also you can choose the light or darkIDMtheme.

I am running Eset Internet security 4.2.71.2 and am currently having issues that supposedly are caused by Eset internet security, at least according to Tonec!! What is happening is that my downloads get to around 90% and stop, and according to Tonec this is a recognised common problem caused by Eset. Have any others here struck this problem and if so, is there any way around it. They suggest I disable Eset when downloading, I don't think so!! on that suggestion.

Thanks people, so I am at a bit of a loss here, are you saying that I have probably got this function activated? I really don't know how to enable this feature, or for that matter what it refers to. Is it something to do with Eset, IDM or just a setting on the computer? Forgive my ignorance on this as it it new to me...

Thanks People, I can confirm that it is not enabled. Arakasi, I gather you are referring to adding Tonec Internet download manager to the exclusions listl. Yep I need assistance if that is ok, much appreciated.

I'd strongly recommend upgrading from v4 to the latest v7 downloadable from ESET's website which not only provides better protection against zero-day malware but also has lower footprint thanks to LiveGrid and Smart optimization.

Yeah, I was looking at that option, I used to have V5 I think it was and kept getting these damn messages saying that it Eset required attention, which I was not sure whether or not that issue had been fixed, so in the absence of any thing else when I got this computer, I elected to go back to V4 which I knew did not have this particular annoyance. I hope that issue has been fixed??

That is the point there was nothing wrong that needed attention. I rang support, somewhere in Australia and the guy I spoke to said it was a known fault with V5 and it would be fixed in the next update, this was a couple of years ago now. The message was like a popup, it happened all the time when I had the computer up and running, totally annoying. I gather people here would remember the problem if they had V5, the tech I spoke to said it was quite a problem with V5 and just to be patient or downgrade and re-install V4 which is what I did.

But I have not had it with V7, and the only way to find out if it will happen on your system with V7 or not is simply to install V7 and use it. Then if it does happen report it here and we'll try to find the cause, but as I said it doesn't happen with V7 for me.

Thanks for the responses. Just a query on V7 are there any reported problems with it, as I am a firm believer in the old adage, "if it aint broke, don't fix it", and V4 is working ok for me. Having said that, the problem I am having with IDM is apparently attributed to Eset, so maybe the problem will disappear with an installation of V7. Apparently, at least according to reviews it is a bit of a system hog, not sure what you guys think of it in this regard. I suppose I can install it and if it all goes pear shaped, revert back to what I am using now. Thoughts and suggestions welcomed..

Snappiness on the system i.e how it runs on the PC fast/slow light/heavy. Or resource usage by looking in the task manager comparing it to other (reviewed) products using 5mb of RAM. Or something else.

In case you only removed just Network Manager with the Software Center it is quite easy to reinstall by downloading only 2 packages from another machine connected to the internet:

I had the same problem. I was on one and only computer - off-line and could not re-install Network manager. However, booting up in the root screen allowed an internet connection. I still could not install the network manager, but I was able to apt-get install wicd.

After doing that, I booted up again, this time to the GNOME window GUI and wicd was there in the applications. It sets up internet connection as does NetworkManager. But to be extra safe, I then installed network manager again since I was back online and able to do so. I have both now and feel more secure.

The first time a power line crash removed network manger and left me offline, I had to do a complete new installation as I did not know about wicd. I'm glad to have learned of it this time, and glad it is easy to install from the root directory.

Really strange problems a was found today, i have install fresh clean windows 11, after that i have install eset internet security and lost my GPU from task manager i have make a video so you can see whats happened here.

Just confirmed same happened on windows 10, i was make clean install to try.

Edit: And also random problems is come with Adobe just after that happened with GPU. Premiere pro stopped to working.

Just confirmed same happened on windows 10, i was make clean install to try.

Editar: Problemas relacionados a vdeos como o logotipo da Adobe ou que so possveis com uma GPU. O Premiere pro parou para funcionar.

I have the same problem on several Windows 10 and Windows 11 computers, all after the fact. I did the test, I tested 1 computer with Windows 11 for about 3 weeks. It booted without, I turned on the GPU to boot, connected to the Internet, ONLY updated eset smart security (updated the definition of trust elements), restarted the computer and the GPU card does not have. I checked the pre-release eset updates, but nothing helps

According to the screenshot it's WDDM 2.7 driver model which supports the said feature. Therefore I can only recommend opening a support ticket and providing instructions how to reproduce the issue if reinstalling nVidia drivers. I'd also recommend contacting nVIDIA as well as Microsoft for an opinion on this.

I have a problem with Adobe, Maxon, Redshift etc. The second day I exhaust myself, the problems do not disappear, now I have reinstalled Windows and it seems to be better. It started yesterday after updating the antivirus, I don't know if it's a coincidence.?

Both on my desktop and my laptop. They both have the Eset Internet Security. I hadn't booted up the laptop for weeks, and just after the boot the graph still was there, but then the Eset updated itself and the graph was gone. Windows update wasn't ran yet.

Desktop lost it yesterday. The desktop has an Nvidia card and the laptop has integrated AMD graphics, so that doesn't seem to make any difference. chkdsk /f, sfc/scannow or reistalling graphics drivers didn't help.

The above software started to work unstable with the GPU just yesterday, it is relatively complex soft and not without bugs, so it's hard for me to say that the problem is in eset. The counter was fixed, thx stackz.

I registered only to report this same issue, affecting two distinct computers (edit, make that 5) running EIS. It applies to several other performance counters as well, not only the GPU. If you open Performance Monitor, it will warn you that it was unable to load several performance counters, as shown in the image below:
