i am a very big admirer of you nd the character of satish, i think u played the character 100% to its details,i hv read the novel many times also, even now i watch charitraheen when its aired, like now on dd, i get up at 3 30 in the morning as i miss it in the afternoon, nd THATS MAINLY BECAUSE OF YOU nd smriti ji, pls tell us more about u & her, i have run so many internet searches on both of u, even mailed satinath ji, but he didnt reply, this novel nd serial are my life, plz plz do reply bout u nd smriti ji, with recent fotos if possible,i really want to meet u 1 day, if possible, i can go on nd on regarding how much it means to me, PLEASE PLEASE REPLY DEAR SIR

charitraheen has been etched in my memory just like it has been with many others, and rightly so. everything about the serial was amazing, it made me read the novel almost 18 years after i first saw it. i am a writer now and recalling you as satish babu, i know what the character was as thought by sarat chandra. could you please tell me as to which production house produced the show? and where can i get a copy of the show? will be really really obliged. thanks, archita

jab bhi hum doordarshan ki baat karten hain hume amara bachapan yaad aa jata hai . Jab hamara bachapan beet raha tha tab shayad kisi ne socha bhi na hoga ki is tarah se hum ise yaad karenge. Sach mein doordashan kaal ek sunehra kaal tha, aaj bhalle hi hazaron chanel aa gaye hon, har roj 10 movies aa rahi hon lekin jo exictment sunday 5.45 ki movie ke intejar mein hoti thi voh aaj kahan? DD1 ke bina humara bachapan kaise hota? DD1 is the best channel of my life i can say. Does anyone know the name of the program on doordarshan which was about a group of people travelling from kashmir to kucch to kanyakumari to manipur on maruti gypsy etc and documenting about the local culture and meeting locals.

I bet if doordarshan retelecasts all these serials people will definitely forget to watch all those stupid saas bahu serials running on star plus, zee tv & sony and once again golden era of television will come.
Jo charitraheen serial dekhna chahte hai .wah aaj sep.17,2012 ko DD BHARTI 8 p.m. Ko telecast hua.katha sagar u tube par hai.b bakshi bhi dd par repeat hua tha kai mahine pahle aur u tube par hai. Bharat ek khoj surfing karte huye dd loksabha par dekha tha.

I am in search of a Special show on Ramnavmi performed on National doordarshan (I think produced by Mumbai Doordarshan for National Telecast)and the participants where Suresh Wadkar, Ashwini Bhide- Deshpande, Shrikant Pargavkar.
It was a Bhajan Show . Three Bhajans were of Sanit Kabir, Saint Tulsidas, Samarth Ramdas amd the firth one was written by me. Shridhar Phadke was a Music Director. I think Episode telecasted in the year 1995 to 2000.

1. In eighties, there was a serial telecast on doordarshan. It had a story of superstar played by some well known Bengali actor. The superstar gets paralysis attack and the serial was about his recovery process. The other leading character in the serial was that of a nurse, which was perhaps played by Sarita Joshi or Padma Rani. Does anyone recalls the name of the serial ?

I saw a few other similar posts online reminiscing those good old days of doordarshan. Himalaya Darshan was one of my most favorite shows also, among many others aired from mid to late eighties. Let me tell you that I too can't forget that story of a shepherd getting lost in the himalaya's and coming across lord shiv himself, from "Himalaya Darshan". I think the god was in the disguise of a shepherd and had the name "trilochan", which incidentally is another name of lord Shiv. I was very fascinated by this story, and the himalayas in general (still am), after watching this show. I still can't think of a more peaceful place than "Himalayas" on this entire earth.

I am really attached to those old serials which used to come on doordarshan. ?I never missed a single episode of Alice in wonderland, rangoli, jungle book, tales pin, duck tales, mahabharat, byomkesh bakshi, vikram beta and a long list. hey everyone i have recently downloaded the episodes of jungle book and byomkesh bakshi. i have found a vey gud link wher we can find most of these serials.
