when I click ok to uninstall, an error pops up saying that it is running. it does not start running until I hit ok to uninstall. the worst programs are those which will not uninstall. none of the community forum topics work.
Thank you so much for this post. Hardest software to get off a computer that I have ever encountered. Your suggestions got me far enough to start following Autodesk's instructions for a clean uninstall.
I have done EVERYTHING you guys said to do here. Stopped the service, checked the taskbar for an instance running, etc. It will NOT uninstall, and just like the original poster here, it keeps saying it's open, but it only opens right when it says that. I want to update my Autodesk programs, and I use the Desktop App to do that...but it simply isn't working, won't work with anything I've tried and won't even let me uninstall and reinstall. Exactly what kind of garbage is this? It was working fine a while back. No idea when this started, but this sort of bush league stuff really bothers me, considering all the thousands of dollars we pay Autodesk each year for services we end up not having, can barely get any support for and usually turns up the answer of, "Gee, I don't know."
I'm not sure if you're still having this issue, but after doing everything they said and getting the same results as you I just re-downloaded and installed the latest version of the app and it started working again.
I am also facing the same problem. I am trying to uninstall Autodesk from my pc and I have managed to uninstall everything except from the following: Autodesk Advanced Material Library 2018, Autodesk App Manager 2016-2018, Autodek AutoCAD Performance Feedback Tool 1.2.8, Autodesk Featured Apps 2016-2018, Autodesk Material Library 2018 and Autodesk Material Library Base Resolution Image Library 2018.
For all of the above I keep getting the same message, that it is still running on the computer even if I have already exited it from the panel that is on the right of my screen. Also I tried to close it from Services but I can't see it running there, nor can I see it on the Task Manager.
Don't worry - it's quick and painless! Just click below, and once you're logged in we'll bring you right back here and post your question. We'll remember what you've already typed in so you won't have to do it again.
I used the control panel unistall but it keeps poping up, I asking this because when I'm playing high graphic games, (league of legends, minecraft etc.) I randomly get a black screen, and I'm thinking its because of this, (my graphics card is really bad)
I did some research on your query and discovered you must be signed into the Administrator of the Computer to uninstall spotify. If you are infact logged into the account, then Right Click "Windows Explorer" aka Control Panel, and select "Run as Administrator" and then go through the installation process.
First of all- if you use the control panel to try and uninstall it, and it doesn't go away, it might be the 'webHelper' application holding you back. You can use the Task Manager on your computer to end this background application, by using Ctrl+Alt+Del on your keyboard, and scroll down until you see 'SpotifyWebHelper' application- select it, end the task- and proceed to uninstall Spotify.
>>> Proceed with the uninstall steps as usual- it will say something along the lines of "This program has already been uninstalled, do you want to remove it from your Programs and Applications list?" Click yes, and it should be gone for good.
In Win-7 tried 10 times in Control Panel clicking on the Uninstall bar up top. Finally, I right-clicked on Spotify in Control Panel and this time it asked for uninstall confirmation, clicked OK, then it was uninstalled. Not sure why, but happy.
Click on your admin account, click on the padlock to make changes, click on login items, click on Spotify, click on the "-" (minus) button below to remove this from the list of apps that start up when you log into your Mac.
When I installed the newer version of spotify, the next day I got a notice saying: Unable to apply rule and all these words pop after and When I try to exit it, it won't work it will pop up unable to apply rule and a new set of words pop up.
it is NOT in my list of programs via control panel, or by using revo uninstaller. i cant find evidence of it in "about:config" in my firefox browser. and in fact even spotify has NO info on how to uninstall it from my browserr. and when iused the search function on the help web page, it would only give me advice on RE-installing! i am very fed up with it and wont be using it again.
spotify NEED to understand this: by using dodgy distribution/promotion companies who bundle your software by "stealth" into other installer, you are gaining a BAD reputation. and i am REALLY unhappy about this, i can tell you!
it may be worth mentioning too, that when i was looking in "about:config" i discovered items relating to babylon.com which are dodgy a**holes. so am guessing that whatever they relate to was installed by stealth too at same time.
The web player does not install itself on your computer if you are accessing it through play.spotify.com it is just like any other website, but it allows you to log in and stream Spotify from inside your web browser.
and now i am getting spotify login page appearing everytime i bring a webpage up. instead of the page i type in my browser url field, i get the spotify login page, EVEN THOUGH I HAVE NEVER REGISTERED or even used spotify. and dont need to anyhow.
the control panel option dosnt work for me because of that, and none of the spotify support were at all interested in helping me whejn i posted a similar request as yours a few weeks back. now i have an embedded device (with spotify logo on it) called "spotify web player) that i didnt want, and getting their page popping up as though its a hijacker home-page!!!!
I had this problem and mentioned it in another post just this morning. Only a clean reinstall of Firefox will solve this. If you use the control panel to uninstall FF, go to ALL appdata folders [the are more than one, search for them if you have to] and delete anything named Firefox or Mozilla. Their exact locations are dependent on the version of Windows you are using.
The embedded web player is really only a web page, but something in FF is requesting it to be opened, probably originated on Facebook.
Thank you for the description of the uninstall for Spotify on Mac OS X. I must admit that this is a very elaborate process as even the Spotify App is not visible under Applications. When such a process is that extensive it gives me a little the creeps as if this was designed to be difficult in order that regular non-IT-technicl people do not / can not uninstall. Something Spotify really should improve in order not to get a bad reputation.
Will this be covering all of college football, or will this Wikiproject focus mostly on Division I? I"m asking since I'd probably be more inclined to help out with any Division III things that could be improved. --Wizardman 01:57, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
Doh - you beat me to the bunch by a day or two - I've been creating just such a project in my user space. I also have a draft of a college football portal almost ready to launch. I have added my name to the project and I've also added several suggested "to-do" items. Johntex\talk 01:59, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
I've just tagged about 75 articles belonging to Category:Texas Longhorns football with the new Talk page template for this WikiProject. The articles now appear in Category:WikiProject College football. The visibility of those tags and the fact that the edits will show up in people's watch lists should drive some extra participants here, I would think. Johntex\talk 02:42, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
Per a discussion at Category talk:College sports rivalries (really, more like a 2-way conversation), I have recategorized the mess that once was Category:College rivalry games and Category:College rivalry trophies. If you should happen to come across any football (or roundball for that matter) rivalry articles, rivalry game articles, or rivalry trophy articles, please categorize them in the correct place under Category:College sports rivalries and, if it is a "named" rivalry game/trophy, please add it to List of NCAA college football rivalry games. Hello, I have added a number of proposed to-do items above. I notice that User:Nmajdan has put a standard-lookking to-do list on the project page, which is OK - it is certainly conventional. However, I think we should delve into organizational issues first, such as creating an organizational structure for cateogires, discussing what templates we need, etc. I am adding a line called "organizational" to the to-do list to represent this area of work. Once we are well organized, the articles will flow more smoothly. Johntex\talk 16:00, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
A note to whom it may concern: the reason many NFL coaches are classified with this project is that they coached in college at one time or another and are classifed under the College football category. Bornagain4 15:09, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
