I think you should do whatever feels best for your internal org culture!  I know Sienna & Robin are going & are really excited. We are all invited but I am choosing not to go because of the more emotionally in-depth relationship I have with clients. In general, that is often how things split with boundary levels- legal staff have more leeway to interact with clients in a variety of settings, while Crystal and I limit or activities so as to respect client space & keep the safety of the therapeutic "bubble" we create here in the office, & the transferences the client may have aligned with us, intact.

Persist has a specifically by-&-for model as an organization in general, & you personally do not have a clinical relationship with clients. So, if you are compelled to go, I don't think it's inappropriate. Just maybe check in with yourself beforehand how you would feel and in what way you think it's best to respond if you or other staff run into a client there, especially if it's in a live sex demonstration context!

I always appreciate the opportunity to explore service provider roles & strategies, please keep reaching out with these kinds of questions!

Warmly,
Liz

Hey Liz!

Was checking in with our staff to see whether or not people want to go to Hustaball, and it occurred to me that clients/members might be there and it might not be appropriate. I know SWP is one of the recepients this year (congrats!) so I wanted to check in and see what you thought.

Best
Sarah
