Ehm, isn't myEntity the record you just added? Why would you need persistence.add to return its parameter?

Is there a way to get access to the record I just added when using the .add function ?

e.g. :
var myAddedObject = persistence.add(myEntity);

I'd like to access the record of what I just added.  How can I do so ?
