Confirming the license of Persist

Hello,

I'd like to use Persist because it's the most light weight object
persistence library that I found. However, the license on Google Code
for Persist seems to indicate that it's LGPLv3. My company prohibits
us from using LGPLv3, but allows for LGPLv2. I would like to confirm
with you guys the correct license here. I could not find a license
file inside the downloaded source that indicates one way or another.

Any clarifications here would be appreciated.
