Hoping to look your best while celebrating Idul Fitri with your
family, but think you can't afford the latest looks? No cause for
alarm, just visit the Beringharjo traditional market in central
Yogyakarta. There, at the end of the renowned Marlioboro shopping
area, you'll find a variety of cheap but trendy looks on offer. You'll
only need to shell out between Rp 25,000 (US$2.6) and Rp 50,000 to get
a koko (a traditional shirt worn by Muslim men) or between Rp 25,000
and Rp 40,000 for a Muslim woman's dress. Muslim women can also
purchase mukena (a white head-to-toe cloth used for praying) for
between Rp 75,000 and Rp 85,000 each. All in all, it's a lot less than
what you'd pay at a mall or hypermarket, where the price for such
items can run into the hundreds of thousands of rupiah. More
