At the bottom part of the interface, click the Output Format option to change the file type of Netflix clip. Next, select the File Location tab and choose a new destination on your desktop. Finally, click Save to initiate the processing, which will be completed depending on the size of the video.
Working on an app right now for iOS that without bluetooth headphones in use, has perfect latency of audio. Once we use some headphones which are the Quiet Comfort Bose QC35 II headphones with Noise Cancelling, the audio is delayed slightly due to Bluetooth.
I am pleased to hear that the team are aware of this, and I understand this is more of a complexity with real-time interactive apps due to user input. In our case the latency was badly affecting video players and timelines used in Unity so it would be useful at the minimum to have those components adjusting to audio delay via bluetooth so that their playback times and video/audio sync would be affected by the device audio subsystems reporting audio delay.
AirPlay 2 should allow compensation for the delay; video playback is delayed by the sending device to sync with the audio output at the speaker. I believe that AirPlay 2 provides timing data to the sending device.
The 2nd pair have no problems with dropouts, however, audio is still out of sync and I think I've worked out why. If I just connect the left earbud there's no problem, but as soon as you connect the right earbud the audio starts going our of sync so I'm assuming its the way the two earbuds are talking to eachother.
The issue where the sound of the headphones is slightly behind the image on the Phone, Tablet or TV is caused by the latency of the headphones (the time it takes to transmit sound via a wireless signal).
Latency occurs in all wireless headphones however the technology being used to create the wireless signal does affect how much latency is caused. This is where larger over head versions can fair better as they can have more hardware to manage this.
The phone, tablet, or tv, that the headphones are connected to will also affect this issue and could make the inherent latency more obvious. For example if a TV outputs sound to it's own speakers slightly faster than it outputs sound to the audio output jacks that the headphones are connected to then that would mean that there is a delay in the audio getting to the headphones on top of the latency of the headphones so the difference between audio and image would be more obvious. This can also be the case on phones between headphone jack and wireless connections. Also different phones and brands manage this in various ways with varying results.
To overcome latency issues sometimes the phone, tv or video player app that the headphones are connected into will have a latency adjustment (VLC Viewer has this for example - -to-fix-audio-and-video-out-of-sync-in-vlc-media-player-android/ ) which can be used to adjust the audio timing to match up with the headphones with the picture. I find around -500ms is ok for the WF-1000X, whereas Apple is around -300ms and others -1200ms. If the phone or app does not have a latency adjustment then a second option is to stick with one ear (i.e. Left bud on Sony) or use wired headphones ( the additional latency on the WF-1000X when you add the right bud is due to the passing of information on from the phone to the left ear and through to the right ear, still very fixable in VLC, but not Netflix etc. When watching netflix or YouTube I tend to go for my neck band headphones. WI-1000X. the latency on these seems to be v small, around -80ms which is nearly impossible to notice.
Secondly, a lot of people watch media on their devices now, so imo it's completely unacceptable for Sony to release a product at a premium price point that lags this badly. It shouldn't be down to the device sending the audio signal to account for this,if I'm paying 200 on headphones I expect it to just work
Originally, I had "purple screen - HDCP erros" between the Roku Ultra and an expensive LG OLED TV that required disconnecting HDMI cables, swapping them, the ports I used, and powering off equipment - until I gave up and called for a replacement "Ultra" STB. Roku relectantly replaced it - only to have the same problems (which I suspect they know about). I eventualy gave up on the Ultra insisting that I get my exercise every night doing this nonsense and decided that a 4K Streaming Stick would eliminate the need for multiple HDMI cables that Roku Support suggested I change out.
The stick solved the HDCP issues; however the Audio Sync issues became the concern - and has been / still is present on EACH and EVERY Roku streamer / device / TV. Roku Support plays the same response to everyone: "What is the model, serial number, blah, blah, blah.." I haven't seen anyone say their problem has been fixed - instead, they just stop posting and complaining because they've come to realize that Roku doesnt have a permanent, workable fix! News flash - these same problems exist for Chromcast and Fire TV too.
Roku Support strings evetyone along by suggesting there is a fix - but they need 'more information" (a.k.a. time) to have their engineers look at YOUR problem (it is unique - no one else is having your problem!). They do this until the warranty return window for the streamer / device / TV has closed. Roku has been doing this for YEARS and it has likely become part of its mission statement. Its frustrating but it is what it is.
If my sync problem can't be fixed, using HDMI eARC, I'm sending back my new ROKU TV that not a week old. I'm not going threw these 4 steps every time I change a channel or switch from TV to streaming. This is BS.
I am experiencing the audio delay issue with my new Roku TV 50R4A5R/50R4AX. I am hearing impaired and using a Phonak TV streamer connected via optical port and the sound coming from the TV speakers is out of sync with the sound from the streamer. I'll be returning the TV and trying one with a different OS.
I just updated my Apple TV 4K and this same thing started happening to me today. Watched two Netfix movies last night with no issues, but tonight the sound streams to my airplay Bose speakers ahead of the video. Also, my picture is slightly glitchy. When I change to TV speaker (which runs through HDMI cable) sound is perfectly synced with video and no more glitch. Again, this was NOT an issue until my Apple TV updated. This doesn't look like a fluke. It looks like a BAD UPGRADE. PLEASE FIX ASAP!
I am having the same issues with the NEW Apple TV. lagging after watching for a few minutes, however, may lagging occurs on YouTube TV and other apps. I have been a big supporter of Apple TV but if this lagging is not corrected I will have to change hardware, which is a lot since I have two homes. What is Apple doing to try and fix this problem?
This is happening across all of the live streaming apps. Please investigate the root cause. This is absolutely repeatable. This makes it difficult to recommend Apple TV as a streaming device for anything but prerecorded material. I am available to assist in any troubleshooting.
Apps are engineered for the devices where they're downloaded, so you may have different settings or performance for each. For example, the Netflix app may work differently when downloaded directly on your Smart TV than it does when downloaded on your Apple TV, or it may require various settings to be customized to optimize performance through that device.
Watching ESPN last night during the baseball game the sync was so off the on camera was unwatchable. I have a high speed cable and running sound via hdmi . Watching Amazon prime or Netflix no problem but streaming ESPN was horrible.
I have the same issue but only if I use airplay to direct the audio to my speakers. However, if the audio is transmitted through bluetooth, then I get perfect synchrony. This problem only happened after my Apple tv HD had it last update on September 20, 2021.
To get very specific, shows like Star Trek DS9 (Netflix) and John Oliver (HBO) go out is sync almost immediately. Any live streaming app also. Newer shows and movies go out of sync less frequently. I have no problems with streaming directly through the TV (LG CX). I think this is my last apple TV.
Sometimes when you stream on Netflix, you may come across some problems. Netflix audio out of sync is one of the common problems. If you have no idea how to fix this issue, this post got you covered. We will offer the 7 workable fixes for you.
Netflix is one of the most popular streaming platforms for binge-watching movies and TV shows. There is some issue like Netflix audio out of sync. You may ask why is my Netflix audio out of sync and how to fix it? The following part covers some practicable fixes for you.
