Drumroll! Fanfare!
WE HAVE FINALLY FINISHED THE COMPANION SONGBOOK TO THE SUNSET’S GOLD CD and it's now available to order from:
For members of our mailing list, for waiting so long for us to finish this, here’s a discount code that will take $5 off the price (only until the end of July): AU88NXDZ
As in the
Masterharper Songbook we’ve focused on melody lines and chords so you can use your favorite instruments. (If you need a tutorial on improvising chordal accompaniments, do
let us know. We’re collecting ideas for future publications!)
Some of the compositions in Sunset’s Gold are ensemble pieces and we're including more detailed notation of these arrangements for those who enjoy getting together with other musicians to practice and play in parts.
For the songbook cover we get to use Elizabeth Malczynski’s richly volute Dragonsong artwork in a larger format than before and of course it looks fabulous. There’s bonus artwork from Elizabeth inside the book, too!
One big improvement over the Masterharper Songbook is that there are no C clefs! They seemed like a good idea at the time, but… no. If any viola players want C clef parts,
write to us - we’ll be happy to send you anything in C clef but we will never subject the rest of you to them again, we promise. In fact, our next project is a revision of the Masterharper Songbook. We’ll be offering that AT COST - probably about $5 in the USA - to anybody who bought the original version. That’s how much nobody liked the C clefs.
Email us a picture of you holding your Masterharper Songbook, or post it on
facebook.com/pernmusic and we’ll put you on the list to get a discount when the new version is ready.
Meanwhile, we hope you’ll take advantage of the temporary discount code above and get yourself a copy of the new Sunset’s Gold Songbook.
Best wishes to you all,
Mike and Tania
