Whileuninstalling an app can sometimes fix issues, it often does more harm than good. If you're having trouble with Sketchbook, please we are begging you reach out to us at sup...@sketchbook.com before uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

Android - uninstalling and reinstalling will delete your brush customizations, custom color palettes, your preferences, your Gallery organization, and any unsaved progress on an open canvas. Saved files will not be deleted by an uninstall/reinstall, you will be prompted to recover your Gallery after restarting the app.

iOS - WARNING! Uninstalling and reinstalling the app will delete everything including all your saved artwork. This data will not be recoverable without restoring your device from an earlier backup.

We are unable to update older versions of Autodesk SketchBook on desktop because the licenses are tied to Autodesk. These are still great apps though and you can continue to use them for as long as you like, however they cannot receive updates or bug fixes.

If you received Autodesk SketchBook as a pre-load on your Windows tablet, that version (5.x) was discontinued and cannot be redownload. Be aware that if your tablet is factory reset, the app will be deleted and cannot be reinstalled.

I downloaded autodesk sketchbook today. I sat down to start figuring out the different tools and functions as I always do with new apps, but something about this seemed really wrong, almost incomplete. I first noticed it when the tutorial on youtube told me to access the preferences so I could set a few things up, but when I went to the preferences it was all different then what I was seeing online, I didn't have any options to change things, there was nothing for me to customize. I noticed the issue further when I accidentally deleted the color changer, and have been completely unable to find a way to get it back. Like, at all. I'm pretty sure I have clicked every single button available and still can't find a way to bring it back. When I looked online for help with this I saw that the color selector should be in my toolbar. I went to the help page for the app and saw that the mobile version has a toolbar that doesn't have a color sector, and that the preferences on the mobile version are much more restricted. It seems like I have a mobile version on a PC. I use a HP Spectre Folio, its a two in one laptop. I've used both concepts and krita on this laptop and both work completely fine. I don't understand what's going on but I'd like help fixing this issue as I'd like to be able to draw.

I've been using it with minimal trouble, but yesterday, I was using it when my ipad ran out of power. No big deal, it's kinda an old ipad so I put it on the charger. But now, when I open the ipad to use it again, SketchBook won't open. All my other apps open with no problem. My ipad, and all my apps are current with their updates. I don't have my drawings backed up/saved cause I wasn't aware I could link them to an account until I started looking in to this issue. Is there any way I can fix this without losing all of my work?

Hello, I am new in this forum. Greetings to all, my name is David. I have the same problem with the difference that I have never been opened. I started using the iPad a few days ago and the first thing I did was download SketchBook to try it, but I've never gotten it to work. I have an iPad 2018 model: MR7F2TY/A with the iOS version: 12.3.1 (16F203)

I would greatly appreciate your help.

I've been having this issue since yesterday evening, the app just doesn't want to startup. I've used it for years before on different devices and experienced no issues whatsoever, and even used it earlier the same day and it was just fine and then, hours later, it stopped responding. I restarted the device twice, updated, ununstalled and installed the app a couple of times. And today still I can't boot it up.

My teacher told me to download sketchbook in my laptop. Well, I tried downloading it and it worked. But the problem was that I couldn't find the file. I don't think I downloaded something wrong but I really need help in this one.

So when I open sketch book (not the real version) it only shows me two pages for some reason it says I already have it downloaded so I checked files for it but I can only find it in the trash so I deleted them in the trash but it still says the same message

So I've been very happy hearing about how sketchbook is now free and will soon be getting a drawing tablet so I can start doing digital art. I have a pc and I tried installing Autodesk sketchbook on the Microsoft store but I couldn't open it. Apparently I needed to have specific requirements on my pc for me to open the sketchbook app.

Microsoft Store won't download apps to a Windows 10 PC (64) for a lot of people. Makes no sense but I can not download anything from the Microsoft Store. I click on "Get It" and nothing happens. This has been going on for ages despite multiple emails to Microsoft and 1000's of user complaints. Very frustrating.

Thanks Leo. Didn't know what AVA was (have since found out). I was able to download Sketchbook through an alternate download site that bypasses Microsoft Store (thankfully). All's good now. Just love Sketchbook. Thanks again for taking the time to help out.

Hi, I did some development under Windows 7 three to five years ago on an old laptop. I have bought a new computer and installed Windows 10 on it. I have also installed the latest version of Arduino IDE. How do I move all those previously developed programs/projects to the new laptop?

The sketchbook location is shown in File > Preferences > Sketchbook location. That is the usual location to save sketches and to install libraries. You should be able to simply move the contents from the sketchbook location on one computer to the other. It is possible that you saved sketches to other locations on the laptop (you're not required to use the sketchbook to store sketches). There's no way for us to know where those sketches might be. If you don't remember, you could search the hard drives for .ino files. You will find the example sketches bundled with the Arduino IDE and libraries, which are not necessary to copy over, but that should be fairly obvious.

Now, when I clicked on File->Sketch, I see all the old projects I created in 2016.

I don't see any sample programs of the new board being stored in My Documents->Arduino.

I checked File > Preferences > Sketchbook location as pert mentioned. It points to My Documents->Arduino. So, where are the files for the new board being stored?

This warning was added in Arduino IDE 1.6.6 (or something close to that, I don't remember exactly). It's likely the problem has always been there, but your previous IDE version just didn't tell you about it.

What is the contents of C:\Users\bbqq\Documents\Arduino\libraries\MicroSD-breakout-board? Is it a library? If not, move it out of the libraries folder. You should only put libraries in the libraries folder.

Hi, I changed my computer back in January 2020. Since then I can't use Sketchbook. It opens, then after a few minutes it freezes and just stops working. The problem seems to appear when I move my workspace to my tablet. I use a Wacom tablet Cintiq 22: DTK2260 and a DTH-A1300L.

I recently just switched from Mac to Windows after building a pc a month or so ago for heavier workloads and am having the same issue on my Windows computer. I can open Sketchbook fine on my main monitor, but as soon as I move the window over to my Cintiq and either enlarge or maximize it, Sketchbook freezes and only can be closed with Task Manager. If I attempt to open Sketchbook on my Cintiq to start, it freezes immediately and doesn't allow me to do anything.

I was looking for something to replace my old copy of Manga Studio 5 for sketching and inking, however sketchbook seems to have a problem freezing up on my second monitor. Here are the symptoms I've noticed so far.

HOWEVER, I was able to find a work-around, I set my Huion screen to be the main display and then I open sketchbook. I have to do this every time I want to use Sketchbook. A fix for this would be nice though.

I use Sketchbook Desktop 8.7.1.0 with Laptop(built-in touch screen + stylus) + secondary monitor (Wacom Cintiq 16 DTK1660K1D), Windows10 ver 2004. I use mainly Sketchbook on Cintiq 16 and when I press ALT key or select Exit menu, Sketchbook stop responding to any input (mouse pointer is working, but cannot open menu, cannot change input mode). I must save data before this situation and always use task manager to close Sketchbook.

Same problem here. Running Windows 10 w/ 3x monitors + Pen Display. it worked for about 1 hour before this behavior started. Now Sketchbook only wants to open on non-primary monitor which freezes it immediately. I have to turn off all monitors (except primary) just to get the program open and then I have to keep it there. Latest drivers across the board but still nothing. Uninstall/Reinstall - nothing.

Because the behavior is the same across all monitors & I was able to get it to work just fine (briefly), I don't think this has anything to do with the pen display being a Huion 16 (2021). Video card is a Quadro P4000.

Thanks Marian. Love the video. Definitely will try this on some of my sketch and journal books.

Only thing I would add is to glue ribbon strips or another piece of paper to finish the inside covers.

I actually did that on one and had filmed it, but I deleted it. Yes, you can cover the inside of the cover, too, if you want. I like to leave it uncovered so I can write my name and the dates of the sketchbook.
