Hi All,

As you might noticed Barrett House has undergone a bit of a transformation, which includes an upgrade to its security and a changeover from the existing keys to new security swipe cards. This will allow Council to be able to track and monitor who is accessing the Barrett House and the garage.

As a result, we require all keyholders to swap over their existing keys for new swipe cards over the next two weeks.

What to do?

·        Make an appointment a day ahead of when you intend to collect the key with Paul Vassarotti via email Paul.Va...@randwick.nsw.gov.au or phone 0408 600 460

Where to go?

·        Go to the Customer Service, Ground Floor Randwick City Council Administration Building – 30 Frances Street, Randwick.

·        Opening hours are 8.30am -5pm, Monday to Friday

What to bring?

·        Your existing key to Barrett House. This will be swapped for a swipe card

FAQs

1.      Can we still use the old system (key)  for a period of time?

You can still use the old key for 2 weeks (till the 21st of September), after which Barrett House property will have its locked changed to only allow the swipe cards.

2.      Do the key holders have to hand in their key when they receive the card?

Yes there is a direct swap over for the old and new keys. That way your bond carries forward

3.      Can I swap over more than key?

Yes, you can swap over multiple keys or do a swap for another community group to save them the trip

4.      Why can’t you organize a handover of the new keys at Barrett House?

We asked for this but unfortunately we need to do a full reconciliation to cross-check who has the keys with Councils facilities team

5.      What happens if I don’t need my key anymore as we are no longer using Barrett House?

Simply return your key and collect you key deposit refund. It would be good if you can send me an email as well.

6.      What happens if I can’t do the changeover in the next 2 weeks by the 21st of September?

Contact Paul Vassarotti via email Paul.Va...@randwick.nsw.gov.au or phone 0408 600 460

Kind Regards,

Anthony
