Hello. I am sorry but I do not know you personally. I got your details off web.

Chris Herden is my name.

I am a biological agriculture consultant and a local organic grower in Hunter Valley. I work with organic growers on eastern seaboard advising, sourcing and selling produce. I have a masters in natural resources. I also have a PDC. I have the following certified organic (ACO) G4, seed potato: Dutch Cream @ $8.50 kg; Superior, Desiree, Kipfler, Royal Blue, King Edward & Russet Burbank @ $9 kg and Pink Fir Apple @ $11 kg. I will deliver. Seed potato as you know are used for growing, not eating. These seed potatoes are from a small generational family farm in Guyra, NSW. The Guyra district is protected by a NSW Government Quarantine Proclamation, which restricts the entry of potatoes into the seed growing areas. This ensures the seed growing districts remain free of pests and diseases such as potato cyst nematode and bacterial wilt.

Safe Seed Pledge

Agriculture and seeds provide the basis upon which our lives depend. We must protect this foundation as a safe and genetically stable source for future generations. For the benefit of farmers, gardeners and consumers who want an alternative, we pledge that we do not knowingly buy or sell genetically engineered plants or seeds. Further, we wish to support agricultural progress that leads to healthier soils, genetically diverse agricultural ecosystems and ultimately people and communities. No synthetic chemicals, herbicides, pesticides or fumigants are used on our farms. I make my own compost/fertiliser using local waste inputs, worms, BD preps, indigenous MO’s, local composted manures, have gravity fed dam water, pressure compensated drip lines and conduct regular soil tests.

Would your grower/permaculture group and/or other work/social contacts be interested in purchasing these potatoes. There is, on average, 10-15 tubers in a kg. I could make up mixed 20 kg or smaller bags for your members to share, if needed. My preferred minimum order is 10-20 kg. I have large quantities of Dutch Cream and limited small quantities of the other varieties. I will try my best to accomodate all varieties where possible.   The earlier you order the more chance you have of getting the varieties. You won't however have any problems taking just Dutch Cream. The ideal situation for me is that interest is generated by your members, total monies collected beforehand by central person, you inform me of quantity needed, I drop to a central spot/person, collect COD and members/group collect from there. I plan to come through your area in approximately 3 weeks if I generate a sufficient quantity order.

I also have ACO certified turmeric @$18.00 a kg.

Regards CH
