Crowdsourced information source database - Claude

Use this to create an online Permaculture knowledgebase.

I suggested to Claude:
"Claude should create a website where people can submit locations of sources of special information that would be worth including in Claude's database"
and it responded with this:
[]
Reading frontend design skill

Now I'll build a polished website for submitting information sources to Claude's database.

Created a file, read a file

Here's your Claude Knowledge Commons submission site. It includes:

The form collects:

  • Source name, URL (with format validation), and a description
  • Domain categories via selectable pills (Science, Law, Medicine, Tech, etc.)
  • Source type and geographic scope dropdowns
  • Access type (open, partial/API, subscription)
  • A reliability slider with descriptive labels
  • Optional reasoning for inclusion and submitter contact info

Other features:

  • Live character counters on text fields
  • A sidebar with submission tips, good/bad examples, and a mock "recent submissions" feed
  • A community stats banner in the hero
  • A success confirmation with a reference ID on submit
  • Full form validation before submission

The design uses an editorial serif + mono aesthetic — warm cream tones, ink typography, and an accent orange — to feel trustworthy and knowledge-forward rather than generic.

Submissions are reviewed by Anthropic's data team. Not all sources will be incorporated.
By submitting you confirm this source is publicly known.

What makes a good submission?

  • 01The source should be recognized as authoritative in its field — peer-reviewed journals, government databases, established institutions.
  • 02Prefer sources with stable, persistent URLs (DOIs, official archives) over social media or personal sites.
  • 03Niche or specialist sources are especially valuable — if it's obscure but authoritative, tell us why.
  • 04Include non-English sources. Claude serves a global audience and multilingual sources are underrepresented.

Examples

Good PubMed Central, JSTOR, EU Open Data, Hansard, arXiv
Skip Reddit threads, personal blogs, Wikipedia, paywalled-only
