Hi all !!!
The practice of adding to the soil (vis-a-vis - compost material,
manure, mulch) is age old, but unfortunately not in common every-day
practice. The "No-Dig No-Weed" methodology enriches the soil, promotes
microbial activity, encourages/feeds the worms (who in turn fertilize
the soil with their tailings) and best of all reduces the amount of
back-breaking "tilling and toiling" in our gardens. Who would ever
want to poison their soil with pesticides, or break their backs
digging and weeding ... when in fact it is neither necessary, nor
desirable!
