Hi there,

Just to let you know that our next Saturday volunteer session at
Stream Walk Community Garden in Whitstable is on 16th July between
10am and 2pm. Come along to help us create a beautiful pond for
wildlife. By the end of the day we should have the shape of the pond
dug and ready to be lined and filled with water. We’ll also have a
lovely pile of clayey sub-soil which we’re going to put to good use in
making our very own cob oven for bread and pizzas. We’re planning to
start the oven building during the August Saturday session on August
20th so make sure that’s in the diary too! If you’d like to help out
with the pond creation on 16th July then please come down to Stream
Walk between 10am and 2pm, and bring a good pair of boots. We can
provide all the tools you need.

If creating a pond doesn’t sound like your kind of thing then there’ll
be plenty of other tasks that you could help out with. We’ll need some
volunteers to take charge of watering the beds, as well as preparing
an area for sowing green manures and planting more into the raised
beds.

Whatever you feel like doing on the day we’re looking forward to
seeing you there, and if you have any questions in the meantime please
don’t hesitate to contact us.

Kind regards,
