Subject: [theglobalsquare] Comments about Global Market
To:
theglob...@lists.takethesquare.netHi there,
Just wanted to comment that I find Global Market a very interesting project.
I read the thread in the forum about local vs. global. Sorry, for some reason I can't post to the forum, my PW isn't accepted (I'm sure it is correct), and the e-mail recovery doesnt work :( So that's why I'm writing here to the list.
Anyway, right now there seems to be a lot of momentum about new economic models, not just among alternative/activist/grassroots/etc. communities, but also among "higher-level" / "well-established" institutions.
Its goals (empowering customers to manage their relationships with vendors) seem to overlap somewhat with those of the Global Market.
As far as I remember from Unlike Us, Lorea has some modules/components for trading in a p2p network.
Anyway, will try to follow Global Market closely.
Nice to see that in Berlin there will be something about an "economy of the commons".
Maybe I can make it there, that would be cool, but not sure...
Markus
