A friend of mine made this short video about the Green Living Co-Op
organization, which follows a "barn-raising" model. People join for free and
donate time on a neighbor's project, earning free help at their house in
return. This really addresses two of the key blocks to concrete change
around the home - "I don't know how to do it" or "I can't do it by myself and
hiring people will cost money."
It's great for community-building as well, and for breaking down barriers
of isolation between people.
