perl-ldap 0.49 has been released to CPAN a few seconds ago.
http://search.cpan.org/dist/perl-ldap/
It should show at your CPAN mirrors within the next hours.
The changes included are listed at the end of this email.
Of course, the GitHub repository https://github.com/perl-ldap/perl-ldap
has been updated accordingly.

* RT#79763 extend ldap_explode_dn() for RFC 4514
* RT#77291 canonicalize host name with ldapi://
* LDAP.pm: don't try to set errors on undefined objects

* various documentation updates
