Description:
LTI is seeking software engineers who are fluent using Perl and Python in a
Linux environment. The Software Engineer will perform server side
programming and scripting as well as provide direction and assistance to
work groups in order to meet assigned objectives. In this role, you will
work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to complex
issues, diagnose and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term
planning. The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in
the United States.
Responsibilities:
Work in an environment of developers who use open-source development tools
Use strong Unix skills to diagnose and troubleshoot low level system
problems
Participate in the design, development, and implementation of server side
systems
Provide technical expertise and consultancy to IT colleagues
Required skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer
Science or Software Engineering
5+ years of software engineering experience
Expert level knowledge of Perl
Working knowledge of Python
Proficient working with Linux at the command line
Demonstrated accountability & execution fulfillment
Desired skills:
Knowledge of IT security and TCP/IP networking would be beneficial
Enthusiasm for taking responsibility and a passion for knowledge is highly
desirable
Preferred location is Cincinnati OH
