Description:
This is a 99% remote position working for a 25-year old SaaS company that
provides wholesale telecom billing service to international voice and SMS
carriers. GTA area preferred to enable occasional work in our Mississauga
data center. *You must be legally eligible for employment in Canada.*
We are seeking a talented and experienced full-stack Perl developer to join
our team. The ideal candidate should be familiar with the software
lifecycle, including requirements, architecture, design, implementation,
testing, release, and maintenance. You should be a problem solver,
detail-oriented, and able to work well in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
o Develop and maintain software using Perl
o Participate in software design and architecture discussions
o Create and execute test plans to ensure software quality
o Collaborate with others to identify and solve problems
o Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner
o Manage software releases and deployments
o Maintain and improve existing codebase
Desired skills:
o 5+ years of experience in Perl programming
o Experience in database development, preferably PostgreSQL
o Experience in Linux, preferably RHEL/Ubuntu Linux
o Familiarity with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and
JavaScript
o Knowledge of telecom billing, CDR handling, Nagios and Zabbix
management, networks, iSCSI is a plus
o Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
o Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
