So I see my employer posted this:

http://jobs.perl.org/job/5555

which to me sounds perfectly tedious, even before you encounter our
HR's totally atrocious application procedure. So in case anybody was
interested in surf, tropical rain, sun, tropical rain, and mai tai's
(did I mention the tropical rain?), please don't let that put you off.

We're a nice perl shop with quarter million lines of operational and
really remarkably sane OO perl code. It's all GPL'ed and we encourage
our people to upload to CPAN (I think we have more than 20 modules
there). The advertised position is supervised by the less famous of
the two authors of "Extending and Embedding Perl". So really, it's
more fun than it sounds.

Sure, we're sitting next to an active volcano, so what? Where's your
spirit of adventure?
