I'm finding that my Module::Build regression smoker is spending a
substantial amount of time in CPAN::SQLite searches. Has anyone else
noticed this?

As I'm in major tuit deficit, I'd greatly appreciate help in finding a
way to speed things up (or getting other things patched so future
regressions are faster).
Some details: this is on a VirtualBox VM running Linux and smoking
with Perl 5.10.1. CPAN 1.9402; CPAN::SQLite 1.98; DBD::SQLite 1.25 ;
DBI 1.609;
