Hi,

I've put out one official distribution of MooX::Shadow::Attributes
followed by two dev releases. The official release has been
accumulating test results, but the dev releases have been out for a few
days and haven't had any test results. The number of results for the
old official release is still increasing after the release of the dev
distributions.

Could someone check if there something weird with the newer dev distros?
I can't see anything significantly different with the meta-data for the
dev releases.

One other weird thing is that if I go to

http://www.cpantesters.org/distro/M/MooX-Attributes-Shadow.html

version 0.01_03 has a green bar, but no reports.

Thanks,

Diab

Aargh.. That's MooX::Attributes:Shadow. Sorry about the typo.

Hi Diab,

Okay there are a few things to explain here.

1) the summary is a quick indexed look up of the live situation. The
reports listing come from stored data. As such the stored data can be
behind the live data.

Note that it has to work this way, otherwise some pages can take several
minutes to just load (RJBS' can take about 10!).

2) At the top of the page it states (currently) that the page was last
updated on Sunday, 2nd December 2012 (3:35pm). This is the last time the
builder compiled all the data to display the page, and updated the
stored data.

3) Due to all the hassle with Amazon's SimpleDB, the catch-up is still 4
days behind. Thus even though the page/stored data was updated
yesterday, it only includes reports upto approximately midday 28th Nov.

4) Looking at the database, there are currently 58 passing reports for
version 0.01_03, but the first report was only added at 19:16 on 28th
Nov, so was outside the 4 day lag, and wasn't inserted into the database
when the builder captured all the data to store.

I'm working on reducing the lag at the moment, and have increased the
parsing to around 35,000 reports a day. I'll be looking to increase this
further this week.

In the mean time, you'll just have to bear in mind that report pages
could be 4 days behind, from the date listed at the top of the page. It
is always worth keeping an eye on the status page:

Cheers,
Barbie.

Barbie,

Thanks very much for the detailed reply. I'd read your earlier blogs
about the Amazon SimpleDB problems, but somehow came away with the
understanding that they were historical rather than ongoing. Obviously
it's the latter.

I promise to be more patient. I recall a time (only a few weeks ago??)
where things seemed to be updated almost in real time. I guess I got
spoiled.

Thanks for your efforts!

Looks fine to me, and I've sent reports for 0.01_04 (all PASSes). There
are many layers of Magic that reports go through before showing up on
the cpantesters.org site and on search.cpan.org, and I see that
cpantesters.org is under quite heavy load at the moment, so I presume
that they'll show up some time but are in a queue right now.

You mean in the left column? Yeah, I see that too. Not sure why.
