hi there,

I am in the process of replacing my current day-to-day android phone with a lineage-based one, w/o the Google image.
this means I won't be able to get the perkeep android client from the Playstore anymore.

has publishing the official image on f-droid been considered?
and if publishing on f-droid isn't doable, what are the implications of using the "debug version" from [1] ?

cheers,

No idea about f-droid, sorry.

Aside from the fact that this build is probably very old (if nobody
replaced it since the last time I built it), if I recall correctly
this build should be the same as the "non-debug" one, except it hasn't
been signed.

Mathieu

ok. if nobody chimes in before the end of this week, I'll try to start the
process of asking for perkeep to be integrated into the f-droid tree.
(I think that's happening over there: https://gitlab.com/fdroid/rfp/-/issues)

ok, thanks.
I tried to build the APK myself and ran into a couple of hurdles, probably stemming from bitrot in the docker machinery.
(I initially tried to build on my archlinux machine but ran into the same pain points.)

I've submitted #1611 to address the Docker-based build bitrot, as best as I could.
