Ahli PERINTIS yang dihormati sekelian,

Hasil dari kerjasama PERINTIS-PETROSAINS, saya menerima email berikut sebagai salah satu permintaan dari PETROSAINS, untuk khidmat PERINTIS kepada masyarakat.

Sukacita saya menjemput sesiapa sahaja pakar dari kalangan ahli PERINTIS untuk bekerjasama dengan PETROSAINS dalam hal ini.  PETROSAINS mempunyai bajet serta capaian kepada masyarakat.

Untuk makluman, cabaran besar kepada saintis ialah dalam libatsama komuniti (community engagement) sehingga membolehkan saintis merekacipta kaedah untuk mempermudahkan penjaran dan pembelajaran, sehingga ke tahap sekolah rendah, bahkan "pre-school".

Perkara ini sedang di tangani di serata dunia.  Salah satu projek ialah "MIT-Blossoms", dengan kerjasama MIT yang melibatkan UTM dan beberapa universiti lain di serata dunia ialah untuk menangani cabaran ini.

Hasilnya, ialah produk seperti dalam poster yang dilampirkan. 

Professor merekacipta alat bantuan mengajar yang menjadikan sains dan teknologi mudah dan menarik.  Ini adalah kaedah waqaf ilmu melalui projek MIT-Blossoms.

Bagaimana ahli PERINTIS?  Boleh anda menyahut cabaran ini untuk bermula bersama PETROSAINS?

For your kind info,we’re in the midst of designing or developing appropriate contents for primary students which focus on materials, origin and its usage; example will be the plastics (which are petrochemicals derived from the Gas/oil industry)..or the household and the chemical content is derived from oil & gas industry.

The appropriate content is still rough and at brainstorm stage where we also need to map with the curriculum. We also would like to make it really really low where we can do this with 7-8 years old kids.

 

If you don’t mind share your expertise or any experience on introducing similar stuff with school students, we really appreciate your kind time and effort for these J
