Unable to delete Perian from Syst. Prefs

Hi All,

First of all, will really miss using Perian! 

Now, need help deleting it. When I try to remove it, getting error: 

"The Perian preferences pane could not be removed because an error occurred."

Hey look in ~/Library/PreferencePanes and Perian.prefpane should be there. Quit system preferences, remove that, and the prefpane will be gone.

However that will not remove the components, just the prefpane.

I have removed Perian from my system. But I still can't remove it from my System Preferences. The little red knife still remains, how do I remove it?

Try control clicking on the perian icon in the system preferences. :)
