Job Description:
- Bachelor’s
degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
- Will
also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in
lieu of every year of education.
- At
least 11 years of Information Technology experience
- Proficiency
in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell, PowerShell).
- Hands-on
experience with automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Selenium, Jenkins,
Ansible, Puppet).
- Familiarity
with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong
understanding of DevOps methodologies, Git workflows and CI/CD practices.
- Comfortable
working in RHEL9 environments.
- Certifications
in DevOps, cloud technologies, or automation tools.
- Experience
with Git and version control systems.
- Excellent
problem-solving and communication skills.
- Hands-on
in terms of technology
- Understand
processes and quality aspects.
- Understand
the customer requirements and suggest feasible technology options
available.
- Good
understanding of general datacenter and network technologies.
- Working
knowledge of one of more areas of Datacenter operations – Compute,
Virtualization, Storage, Network, Backup, Database, Middleware, AD/IAM,
Tools, Application operations.
Areas of
Responsibility:
- Develop
and maintain automation scripts and frameworks for software testing,
deployment, and infrastructure provisioning.
- Implement
CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, PowerCLI, vSphere API, GitLab
CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Automate
cloud infrastructure using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Python /
Bash, or AWS CloudFormation.
- Collaborate
with development, QA, and operations teams to identify automation
opportunities and improve workflows.
- Monitor
automated systems and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and
performance.
- Maintain
documentation for automation processes, configurations, and best
practices.
- Ensure
automation solutions comply with security and compliance standards.

– infrastructure as code (IAC) for provisioning VMs, networks, etc.
- Ansible
– configuration management and post-provisioning automation.
- Git
– version control for IAC and config code.
- Jenkins
/ GitLab CI – CI/CD for automated pipeline execution.
- Packer
– for building VM images (golden images).
- PowerCLI
/ vSphere API – for VMware-specific automation.
- Python
/ Bash scripting – for custom scripts and task automation.
Ideal Engineer
Background:
- Strong
knowledge of VMware vSphere / ESXi / VCF.
- Experience
with IAC tools like Terraform and config tools like Ansible.
- Familiarity
with DevOps practices (CI/CD, Git workflows).
- Comfortable
working in Rhel9 and Windows2022 environments.
