Performance Project

Project deadline: Saturday September 25th
Description:
The idea behind this project is to pay tribute to the history and
origins of Salsa music and salsa dancing. We will be showcasing all
dance styles that have contributed to the fusion of today’s Salsa
music and dancing.
Routines For both men and women:
Aguanile-Hector Lavoe (1 min, Footwork)
Sonido Bestial-Richey Rey & Bobby Cruz- Footwork (1min)
Perez Prado-Moliendo Café & Moliendo Cafe by Mambo kings- "skirts
perfomace" (modified version, need men for this section)
Commitment:
You will be required to attend all practices. You will be allowed one
excused absence. After two absences, you will be excluded from
performing. No exceptions. You could choose whichever routines you
would want to be part of as long as you can completely commit to
. Below are the specific time rehearsals:
Aguanile Noon -1:00pm
Moliendos cafe "both" 1:00-2:15pm
Sonido Bestial Footwork 2:15-3:00pm
Costume Cost: To be Announced
Practice Details:
Length of Project: Sun., Aug. 8 through Sun., Sept 19
Days and Time- Sundays from 12 p.m.-3:30 p.m. (See detail times
according to each routine)
Location-UH Cougar Den/Wellness Center
Deadline & Tech Rehearsal for the Cuban & Puerto Rican Committee:
Sat. Sept. 25 from 12 p.m.-4 p.m.
