Job Title: 2 positions Systems Administrator (LINUX)
Location: Palo Alto, CA
Duration: 6 month
Overview:
This is a deeply technical, hands-on role for an experienced individual with a proven background in building and maintaining high performance, highly available systems infrastructures. The candidate is expected to be well organized, and excel both independently and in a team environment, with minimal supervision. Work includes the undertaking of professional and technical tasks for Systems, Storage implementations. This is a high visibility position in the technology group
Responsibilities:
Ø Support in daily operations of Linux/UNIX operating systems
Ø Manage enterprise storage systems, Virtualization and data protection environment
Ø Architect, implement and manage systems and SAN storage technologies
Ø Managing virtual systems and hosts for their best performance
Ø Performance tuning and troubleshooting the issues that arise in operations
Ø Work closely with other teams in implementing high availability and disaster recovery solutions for various systems and applications.
Ø Need to automate regular jobs through scripting in perl/shell and be “on Call” on scheduled basis
Qualifications:
Ø 10+ years of working experience in supporting production environment in supporting Linux, Solaris, AIX, HPUX
Ø Strong knowledge and work experience on various enterprise storage systems like 3PAR, HP EVA Netapp appliances
Ø Strong knowledge of SAN using brocade switches, HP Blade enclosures and servers
Ø Strong expertise on VMWare virtualization
Ø Good understanding of Symantec Netbackup, Storage foundation suite, cluster servers
Ø Good working experience in managing DNS, NIS, Console systems
