Position: Citrix Engineer

Location: Boston, MA

Duration: 6+ Months

 

This client request FACE TO FACE INTERVIEWS,

 

Candidate will be part of the Infrastructure Architecture and Thin Client Computing team and primarily be responsible for support and projects pertaining to VDI, Citrix, and infrastructure architecture.

 

This is a senior level technical position and candidate will be expected to provide technical guidance to peers and other infrastructure teams. Will be part of a team that includes mid-level and Sr. engineers primarily focused on VDI and Citrix design, implementation and support. Also assist in definition and management of standards, guidelines, processes, and architectures for other infrastructure technologies. Responsible for architecting solutions and providing leadership for infrastructure and business based projects

 

Day to Day Operations includes:

 

•        Support the day to day operations of XenApp/XenDesktop, including but not limited to:

•        Desktop pool creation/administration

•        Application publishing and provisioning

•        Group Policy administration specific to the Xen products

•        Researching and proving out new technologies to help support Infrastructure

•        Building relationships with various technology vendors to benefit client

•        Part of on call rotation for 24x7 support for escalated problem resolution and business unit based projects.

•        Project Technical Lead for business unit based and infrastructure projects

•        Escalation point for Jr. staff

 

Requirements:

 

•        Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or related field, or equivalent experience.

•        5+ years of experience in IT field

•        Experience with Citrix XenSuite of products a must (XenApp, XenDesktop)

•        Working knowledge of VMware vSphere and related products

•        Experience working for an enterprise class corporation

•        Experience designing HA and DR solutions

•        Ability to self-manage

•        Ability coordinate needed resources across multiple disciplines

•        Excellent Oral and Documentation skills

•        On call rotation required

 

Considered a plus if candidate has:

 

•        Strong understanding of server technologies

•        Strong understanding of storage technologies

•        Strong understanding of network technologies

•        Experience with SQL Server, IIS, Active Directory
