Ithink my absolute favorite feature of the keyboard is the ability to access numbers and punctuation with a simple swipe down of your finger. For example, want a semi colon? Swipe down on the letter M, and bam, good to go. This swipe feature is used heavily throughout the keyboard and it becomes second nature to use. Additionally, to delete an entire word, no matter how long it is, swipe from right to left the backspace key. That has now become second nature to me, deleting entire words with a simple flick of your thumb. Same for numbers, simply swipe down letter associated with the number, and boom good to go. Lastly, to access emoticons, simply long press the 12# button, and have instant access to your smileys, frownies, and so on.
Additionally, TouchPal supports themes, which are simply skins for your keyboard. There are tons of them, and they really change up the look of the keyboard. I am pretty happy with the default layout that is offered by the system, but if you want it to look like leather, typewriter, pink, sci fi, futuristic, and so on.
If you are bilingual, TouchPal is pretty awesome as well. After installing it, go to settings and install the second language pack, and a little option for your additional language will pop up on the actual keyboard. Switching languages takes the touch of a button and bam, you are good to go. I am able to switch between English and Spanish without skipping a beat.
To wrap this all up, I have to say, I am pretty happy with TouchPal overall. If you have an android device, installing and running it takes only a few moments of your time, and an iOS version and Windows Mobile version will be coming out soon, although I suspect that to run the iOS version you need to jailbreak your phone first. Check out their website here for more information about the keyboard and the status of it on other devices. Had a chance to play with it? Leave your comments in the comment section below!
Yesterday March 27, 2016 There was an update in my Blu Life Pure XL phone, in which it asked me if i wanted to update it. I did, unfortunately when it finished installing, a message in my phone appeared which said: Touchpal 2015 has stopped Working. I've tried many things in fixing the problem but there wasn't any luck. It also told me if i wanted to send an error report, but I can't send one since I can't use the phone's keyboard. Anyone has any idea how I can fix or forward this to the company?
OK guys just did some more research on this and found a thread on another page that says to go into advanced settings and then all apps, then touchpal keyboard clear data and cache. I just did this and it fixed it :)
You have to go into Settings > Language & input, and select Google Keyboard. You'll be able to use the phone, but not have the nice TouchPal interface. I can't even find TouchPal in the Apps to uninstall and reinstall. For now, I'm stuck with Google keyboard. I hope they figure this out.
I ma having the same issue but it reverts to the message and send error report so quickly that I am unable to stay in setting long enough to do anything. HELP! This happens when I discard the message, send the message or take any other action.
Same problem. Finally, after much frustration I managed to get to the apps page and saw "Swift Keyboard". That gave me the option of disabling the standard Android keyboard and - thank heaven! - TouchPal. Which I promptly did. Now to find how to erase/uninstall it completely...

The application in question is TouchPal X Keyboard, by Chinese app developer CooTek, and it's free in the Google Play Store. TouchPal X learns from your texting input and is able to predict future sentence structures, all without ever having to lift a finger from the screen.*
When selecting (1) Enable TouchPal, you'll be prompted with a warning about the keyboard collecting personal information, which is standard for any downloaded keyboard. After you continue, select and enable TouchPal X and press back.
The third and final step, (3) Coolest way to input, takes you through a brief tutorial. I won't elaborate on it, since I'll go through all of the keyboard's details in further depth below. Once you finish this, you're ready to begin typing away.
Note: Since the keyboard has the ability to learn from your typing (I'll elaborate on that later), it will show words that you have previously used after the word that you just typed in. I used awkward after the a few times, hence the option above.
Word prediction is the feature that shows up at the top of the keyboard when typing in a word. It predicts the word for you (with usually several options), then allowing you to pick one or keep typing.
Now that we're done with the few keyboard settings, we can get to some of the other features, which include a walkie-talkie inspired voice input. To access this option, you can either tap on the microphone icon at the top of the keyboard
Sending someone an accurate interpretation of your emotions via tiny cartoon-ish characters has never been easier. Want to show your bestie you're crying because your ass got dumped? Just swipe up from the space bar to view emojis and emoticons.
While your keyboard automatically learns from the messages that you type on the keyboard, you can further expand its ability by linking your Twitter account to it. Once you log in, the keyboard will learn from your Tweets and further advance your typing abilities.
This is also something that WordWave provides, and there are apps out there specifically for learning your language, like User Dictionary Plus, but overall, TouchPal does an awesome job. Eventually, it might include more options than just Twitter for learning.
