Installing xtrabackup on windows

Hello,

I'm new to xtrabackup, and just finished installing it on my linux
server.

i want to install xtrabackup on my local machine (running win7 64bit)
so i could restore backups made on the server.

how can i download/install xtrabackup for win7?

Hmmm never saw that before. But I guess it's "Alpha" for a reason. Think you can help Percona by trying it out and giving feedback =)

Yes, there is an Alpha out for Windows. There is a blog post on
mysqlperformanceblog.com about it too. If you are looking for a more
mature version, you can engage Percona to work on finishing the Windows
release of xtrabackup.
