I was concerned when I was about make a new book and checked the website to see if there was an update to booksmart. And I was surprised that booksmart is not on their site anymore. (I did find a link for an update via help site) I gave bookwright a shot and even downloaded templates. I can't believe they are pushing this software. In terms of making photobooks, it is simply in the dark ages. Its like doing everything from scratch.
I am a long time BookSmart user and have done a dozen travel books in large format averaging over 50 pages. I started last year converting from booksmart to bookwright to assure better color control- especially with controlling "out of gamut" issues. I am writing now since I have just finished reading threads that are several years old in which two particular issues are raised.... How to look at a single page and how to preview at full size in BookWright. I appreciate that one can make a pretend pdf, but the resolution is not the same as the final and one can not make saved changes to a pdf. At the prices that you charge.... how can you continue to ignore these incredibly simple and constantly raised issues? I really don't know what I will do with the next book. Start in BookWright or BookSmart. Changing these two issues would likely do more to promote your new BookWright tool than anything else.

I am preparing my first photo book using bookwright and a number of the uploaded colour photos have a distinct magenta cast compared to the originals. There is some discussion here about printed b/w images in the books with this issue but is it a problem with the software? I have replaced these after adjusting in Lightroom but the feedback and reported issues here have me wondering whether to proceed.
