To access released items from the computer-based tests: View the released items using the ePATs (electronic practice assessment tools) at the MCAS Resource Center. A released-item answer key is provided for each ePAT.

Visit the MCAS Resource Center to access practice tests for ELA, Mathematics, STE and Civics. These practice tests are an important tool for familiarizing students with MCAS test formats and item types.

As of 2018-19, only the grades 5 and 8 Statewide Science Assessment is still being administered. For information about those assessments, visit the Statewide Science Assessment page of the FDOE website. Practice materials for the Florida Standards Assessments (FSA) are available on the FSA Portal.

The FCAT 2.0 Sample Test and Answer Key Books were produced to prepare students to take the tests in mathematics (grades 3-8) and reading (grades 3-10). Sample Test and Answer Key Books for grades 5 and 8 science are available on the Statewide Science Assessment page. The Sample Question Books are designed to help students become familiar with FCAT 2.0 questions and to offer students practice answering questions in different formats. The Sample Answer Keys are designed to be used by teachers to explain to students the answers and solutions to the questions in the Sample Question Books and to identify which Next Generation Sunshine State Standards benchmark is being tested by the question.

The College Board administers the College-Level Examination Program (CLEP), which offers affordable exams that help students receive college credits. This article covers the CLEP Biology exam, which tests molecular, cellular, organismal, and population biology.

CLEP exams are taken by students every year to earn college credits for the things they already know. If you have learned a substantial amount of information about a particular topic through on-the-job training, previous studies, or simple life experience, you can take this one exam and receive college credit as if you took the one-semester course!

During the registration process, you will need to pay the $90 exam fee. You will also choose whether to take the exam at a testing center or remotely. If you are taking the exam in-person, you must ensure that you print out your examination ticket once you have completed the registration process.

Once you have selected the day and time that you want to take the exam, you will need to return to the portal of the CLEP website and download the ETS Online Test application. This application is what allows you to take the exam on your computer at home.

On the day of your test, you should arrive at the testing center at least 15 minutes earlier than the scheduled exam time. When you arrive, you will be asked to provide a form of valid, government-issued photo identification, as well as your printed registration ticket.

On the day of the test, you should log in to your CLEP account 15-30 minutes before the scheduled exam time. Once you have logged in, you will need to download and install the Proctortrack desktop application. Within this app, you will verify your identity with a face scan and a scan of a valid photo ID. You will also be instructed to use your camera to scan your testing room.

The CLEP Biology exam is scored so that one point is awarded for each correct answer, and you will not have points taken away for any incorrect answers. You will also not have points taken away if you skip a question altogether. The number of correct answers you have will be your raw score.

RC was one section that I felt fairly confident in from the beginning. I have always liked reading and have done well with similar types of tests in the past. I watched all of the RC Academy videos and found that I really liked the question mapping technique. I tried this on my first few practice passages and stuck with it through it all. Each time I did a passage, I would try and do my question mapping in 5 minutes or less and then read through the passage and actually answer the questions in 15 minutes. For my question mapping, I would read the entire question and write out a few words to summarize the question. Once I was reading through the passage, if I came across something that I knew would answer a question I had seen already, I would highlight it and also write either the answer or the paragraph where the answer was next to the appropriate number on my question map. I did well on RC in all of my practice tests so I was confident on the actual test day that I was using the tactic I liked best.

Each lesson begins with selected activities focusing on prior knowledge. Students will review content from previous lessons through videos on Teacher Tools Online, demonstrations, and one-on-one discussions with other classmates. These lesson introductions are intended to help students integrate new lesson content with what they already know.

The Biology course lessons are designed with multiple forms of instruction. Content is presented via direct instruction, further fleshed out in class discussions, and reviewed collaboratively with classmates. Additional videos and demonstrations also serve to present new material from multiple angles to maximize student comprehension.

Numerous realistic scenarios will help students connect biological systems and processes with everyday events. Worldview investigations and ethics discussions will also help students see how a biblical worldview affects scientific evidence and determines which methods or procedures are appropriate. Ethics boxes in the student edition also explain complex, controversial issues in biology from a biblical perspective. Students will be encouraged to evaluate both biblical and secular worldviews on a particular topic so that they can understand the arguments on both sides of an issue.

This course features numerous opportunities for evaluating student comprehension and skill. Section reviews and chapter reviews offer frequent opportunities for examining lesson content. Formative assessment questions in the teacher edition enable teachers to measure student comprehension. Lab activities and ethics boxes also help measure student skill level and application of biblical principles.

The student lab manual contains a variety of lab activities for teachers to choose from. Inquiry and STEM lab activities may serve as guiding activities throughout a chapter or summative assessments at the conclusion of a chapter.

The SAT Biology E/M Subject Test is a multiple-choice test with 80 questions. You'll answer 60 multiple-choice questions on core principles in biology; then, depending on the additional subject matter you selected, you'll answer an additional 20 multiple-choice questions on Biology-E or Biology-M subject matter. You'll have one hour to answer all 80 questions.

The AP Biology exam is hard when compared to a typical high school-level biology course exam. The AP course exams are designed to measure a higher level of content understanding and require you to analyze and apply that knowledge; all of this is typically taught at the college level.

When viewed in comparison to the other exams in the AP Sciences category, the AP Biology exam is about average in terms of passing rate. Three of the seven exams in the group had a pass rate higher in 2021 than the AP Biology exam, and three had a lower passing rate.

However, three exams with a higher passing rate (Physics 2, Physics C-Mechanics, and Physics C-Electricity and Magnetism) generally have a much smaller group of total test takers. Since these exams accompany advanced Physics, they tend to weed out many potential test takers.

Our AP Biology score calculator clearly shows that you would need to answer 50% of the multiple choice questions right and get at least half of the points for each free response question to achieve a score of 3 or better on this exam.

Many students feel that taking the AP Biology exam is worth it. Primarily, AP courses help students understand the increased difficulty and faster pace that is required in college courses. Doing well in an AP course can also help build your academic confidence.

Many parents will also be interested in the potential for savings that taking AP exams can provide. When students graduate from high school with college credits, they eliminate the need to take those courses in college, saving valuable tuition money.

According to the latest update from the College Board exam season timeline, students will receive their AP scores in July 2024. Historically, the College Board typically releases AP scores early in July. AP scores are almost always available in July.

Section 2 consists of two long free-response questions, both focusing on the interpretation and evaluation of experimental results. One of these questions will require graphing in your response. The other four questions in Section 2 are short-answer questions that will cover the areas of scientific investigation, conceptual analysis, analysis of a model or a visual representation, and analysis of data.

Colleges will typically only award college credit to students who score at least a 3 or 4 on the AP Biology exam. If you failed or scored lower than a 3, you will need to retake the AP Biology exam in order to be awarded college credit.

You can also negate any effects a failing score would have on your college admissions chances by choosing not to send low scores to certain colleges. You are in control of which colleges receive your AP exam scores. In addition, if you did send a low score to a college and then score higher on your retake, you can have the college replace your lower score with your higher score.
