Joystick for Sea Perch

Hi,

I'm building my first Sea Perch and would like to substitute a 12 volt
joystick for
the port and starboard thruster switches. Has anyone tried this ?

Bob,

My daughter built a joystick control box and wired it for this year's
MATE competition (not on Sea Perch.) She borrowed ideas from this R/C
tank site: http://www.rctankcombat.com/articles/speed-control/ . If I
can find some photos of the control box, I'll post them. It had two
joysticks from Happ Controls ( http://www.happcontrols.com ). I find
the joysticks much easier to use then the switches.
