REGISTRATION OF PARTICIPANTS FOR THE NATIONAL MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE – 2015
 

We are pleased to inform you that the National Management Conference 2015, organized by the Institute of Management of Sri Lanka, will be held on Tuesday, 29^th September, 2015 at the Grand Ballroom of the Galadari Hotel in Colombo.
 
The Hon. Ranil Wickremasinghe, Prime Minister of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka will be the Chief Guest and Key Note Speaker, at the National Management Conference 2015, and His Excellency Dr. Morhard Jurgen, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany will be the Guest of Honour on this occasion.
 
The theme of the NMC – 2015 is - “Good Governance:  Challenges and Strategies” and will take the form of three Sessions which will highlight and discuss the core issues related to:
 
Session I   - Good Governance:  Macro Perspective
a)      Relevance of Good Governance in Economic Development
b)     Main Challenges of Good Governance
c)      Institutional requirements to ensure Good Governance
 
Session II - Good Governance:  Micro Issues at Corporate Level
a)      Relevance of Good Governance for Optimum performance
b)     Main Challenges of Good Governance in the Corporate Sector
c)      Intuitional requirements to ensure Good Governance in the Corporate Sector
 
Session III - Good Governance:  Main Issues and Challenges
a)      Issues of Good Governance in cross boarder economics
b)     Regulator: The type of regulatory framework required in a complex economic architecture.
c)      Distribution  Justice of Good Governance in Business – Consumer & Citizen impact
 
As you are aware, the Institute of Management of Sri Lanka (IMSL) is the national apex body in the field of management in Sri Lanka, dedicated to promoting professional management in the country. IMSL was inaugurated on 31^st July 1986 and incorporated by Act of Parliament No. 67 on 17^th December 1988. It is the successor to the Sri Lanka Management Association which was inaugurated on 5^th May, 1978 and is the National Management Organization (NMO), representing Sri Lanka in the Asian Association of Management Organizations (AAMO), a regional initiative comprising 17 countries in the Asia Pacific Region, which promotes, facilitates and supports the development of professional management in the Region.
 
A copy of the NMC 2015 Brochure giving full details of the conference, programme, resource persons, etc., will be forwarded to you in due course and in the mean time we are enclosing a Registration Form in order to enable your organization to register participants for this highly interactive and informative Conference.
 
It is pertinent to mention that NMC–2015 will provide a forum that would discuss the contemporary important issues related to Good Governance – its Challenges and Strategies, especially in the Corporate and Public Sector.
