Hey guys!
I have a single DDA file that is really big. Like MGF 14GB. I can't share or tell you much if anything about it. I've set the number of spectra/file in the millions and the maximum MGF size to 20GB.
I'm still getting this max buffer something or other thing. Java is 64 bit and a version newer than the thing says that it has to be. Maybe it says 18 and I've got 18.1 or move the decimal point.
 Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Ben,

Sadly, PeptideShaker was not really intended to deal with such big files. The underlying data structure was therefore not implemented to support these types of input files and changing the code would at this point require more time and resources than what we have available at the moment. I would therefore recommend that you instead try other tools that may have better support for your type of data.

Best regards,
Harald
