Canyou believe we had never watched Winnie the Pooh?! The theme song was one of her favorite songs as a baby and she loves the ride at Disneyworld, but somehow we had completely skipped ever watching the movie, so last Friday I surprised her with this slime and a Pooh-bear inspired menu!

It was stretchy, squishy and just slightly tacky (but not so sticky that we had to peel it off our hands or anything). It has a thicker consistency than most slimes, but was stretchier than play dough, and had an amazing honey smell.

As for our honey slime, check out my quick video on how to make it below (pay attention to the consistency as edible slimes can be tricky the first time around) and then scroll down to grab your free recipe printable to make your own edible honey slime!

Tip: these ingredients are all estimates - different honeys, different climates and different house temperatures can all affect how much cornstarch or oil you will need for your edible honey slime - so make sure to watch the video to see what consistency you should be aiming for.

Hi Puja,

Yes, children over the age of 1 can safely taste this slime. I would not keep it longer than a few days, as the consistency changes after a day and starts to get harder and less elastic.

While that was a bit startling, I did try it again in a PLASTIC container and it worked just fine! The texture is quite fun, but the taste is a bit off for me, personally. Still fun to take a chomp out of either way!

Making Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts is so easy, much easier than you may think! There are only a handful of ingredients and my method will help you get them super crispy and extra delicious.

Place the brussels sprouts halves in a large mixing bowl and combine with your oil, kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and honey. Give them a good mix and toss to evenly coat each one with the oil and seasonings.

Spray the air fryer basket with a neutral flavored oil spray. Place the brussels sprouts in the air fryer basket in a single layer. If any leaves become separated from the brussels sprouts, make sure to remove them, as loose leaves may burn.

Cook them in the air fryer at 400 degrees F for 12-14 minutes. Open the air fryer and shake the brussels sprouts in the basket. Air fry for a second time at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Feel free to check them during the second air fry to ensure you are happy with the color. (I like them dark and crispy; you may prefer them to be lighter.)

Once the brussels sprouts color are to your liking, turn off the air fryer. Transfer the Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts to another bowl and season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve and enjoy!

Lemon juice: You can use bottled juice or fresh lemon juice. I prefer fresh lemon juice, but my grandma used bottled lemon juice. Lemons have vitamin C and can help break down mucus. The juice of 1 lemon or 3 Tbsp. of bottled lemon juice is just about right.

Honey: Honey is preferred in this recipe for its health benefits. Honey coats your throat, which can help suppress a cough. It also has antibacterial properties and is soothing for a sore throat. We use about a tablespoon of honey, but you can use more or less to taste.

You can make a large batch of hot honey lemonade and store the leftovers in the refrigerator. Let it come to room temperature and then transfer to a container. Reheat by microwaving a single cup portion or heating to a simmer over the stove.

How did I do that? By giving up control and understanding my unity with Jesus Christ. By allowing Him to work in and through me. By depending on Him instead of myself. The more I understood my identity with Christ, the more I could taste and see the goodness of the Lord.

If a taste of honey can revive and strengthen a person, how much more can a taste of the Lord? When we encounter Him, we leave revived and strengthened, ready to face our challenges together instead of on our own.

The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them. Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. Fear the LORD, you his holy people, for those who fear him lack nothing. The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing. Psalm 34:7-10, NIV (emphasis mine)

Father, I have tasted and seen that you are good. I have tasted the finest delicacies this world can offer, and they cannot compare to you. Your presence satisfies me like nothing else. You give more joy and deeper joy than anything else in this world. One day in your courts is better than a thousand days elsewhere. One moment with you is better than a thousand lifetimes anywhere else. Please give me more tastes of your presence, more glimpses of your glory. Expand my heart to love you more, and then take me deeper into the vast ocean of your love. Your love is better than life itself.

For this recipe we use a cooked spiral cut, bone-in ham. A spiral cut ham is super easy to use and glaze because it has been pre-cut into nice, thin slices. Spiral hams are super easy to find at most grocery stores, especially around Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. If you prefer, you can also use a boneless ham, however I prefer bone-in because the ham slices are more tender and I love using the ham bone to make soups like split pea soup and ham and bean soup.

For this copycat honey baked ham recipe, we cook the ham for 5 hours at 200-degrees F. However, if you are in a hurry, you can speed up the process by raising the temperature to 275-degrees and cook for 2-3 hours. No matter the temperature or the amount of time you cook it, you want to check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer before serving. You want the internal temperature of the thickest part of the ham to be 140-degrees F.

Absolutely! Freeze any leftover ham in an airtight container or freezer bag and freeze for up to four months. It will still be safe to eat after that time, but may not taste as good. To reheat, let it thaw in the refrigerator completely, then microwave or put in the oven, covered, for about 30 minutes.

This ham is so delicious and versatile, the possibilities of what to serve alongside a thick slice are endless! Recipes like Russet Potato Mashed Potatoes and Whipped Sweet Potato Casserole are great with our honey ham. Here are a few more tried and true combinations we love:

I plan to cook my honey bake ham the day before. What do I need to do to the ham the next day to serve it? Do I need to warm it again. The store bought ham says to take it out of the frig. and can eaten it at room temp.

It all depends on the weight of the ham. The most important thing is to check the internal temperature. It has to reach 140 degrees before serving. Check after the first two hours and then every hour after until it reaches that temperature.

Finding the best flowers

Some flowers have more pollen and nectar than others. When a good flower patch is found, bees recruit other bees from their colony to the patch. But how do they tell those bees where to find the best flowers?

Communication

Bees communicate flower location using special dances inside the hive. One bee dances, while other bees watch to learn the directions to a specific flower patch. The dancing bee smells like the flower patch, and also gives the watching bees a taste of the nectar she gathered. Smell and taste helps other bees find the correct flower patch.

The dancing bee waggles back and forth as she moves forward in a straight line, then circles around to repeat the dance. The length of the middle line, called the waggle run, shows roughly how far it is to the flower patch. Which dance below tells the watching bees that the flower patch is farther from the hive? If you guessed the dance on the left, you are correct!
