Job Description –

 

• Troubleshooting the application.

• Troubleshooting the web server, application servers and process schedulers.

• Assisting the application leads with establishing security on the NT platform.

• Assisting the application leads with establishing security on the UNIX platform, if applicable.

• Migration of PeopleSoft code to the NT production share.

• Insuring that the PeopleSoft Oracle databases follow the client Oracle Standard.

 

The following represents the tasks/skills needed from an Oracle DBA perspective.

• Installation and configuration of the RDBMS, version upgrades and support of data definition language and data dictionaries

• Table partitioning

• Disk sizing and Raid level recommendations

• Rollback segments

• Archive logs

• Database design

• Indexing goals and methods

• Disaster recovery Cluster and failover strategies

• Performance planning

• Capacity planning

• Performance tuning

• Job Scheduling Maintenance tasks

• Database Backup and Recovery via RMAN/Legato

• Database synchronization and environment refreshing

• Object migration

• Establish and administer security policies and procedures

• Special purpose script development

• Corrective and preventative maintenance

• Database monitoring

• Space management

• New release level certification

• Rotating 24x7 On-call Problem determination and resolution

• Research and development Database standards and procedures.

 

MINIMUM Work Status Requirement – H1B
