Job Description:

Overview Of Responsibilities:
a provider of business technology services to the eyecare industry, is seeking to fill a software developer position in the Engineering department. 

Responsibilities:

·  Design, modify, develop, write, and implement software programming applications and components.

·  Support and/or install software applications and components.

·  Work from written specifications and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job and maintain documentation of process flow.

·  Utilize established development tools, guidelines, and conventions including, but not limited to, Visual Studio, ASP.NET, ASP.Net Core, C#, SQL Server, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.

·  Design, code, and test new web applications.

·  Enhance existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan, and identifying areas for modification and improvement.

·  Maintain existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects.

·  Investigate and develop skills in new technologies.

·  Create technical specifications and test plans.

·  Create new and extend existing operational documentation.

·  Consult closely with team leaders and product managers related to projects and tasks.

·  Consult colleagues concerning maintenance and performance of software systems.

·  Implement new software and technologies as required.

Required Skills:

·  Knowledge and experience with OOD/OOP.

·  Experience in C#, ASP.NET 4.x, Core, ADO.NET, Visual Studio 2017/2019 and TFS required.

·  Web development experience with good working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.

·  Experience in SQL queries, triggers, and stored procedures (MS SQL Server).

·  Working knowledge of JSON, XML and Schemas.

·  Communication skills, both oral and written, are essential.

·  Willingness to learn new technologies.

Desired Skills:

·  Experience in Sencha ExtJS.

·  Experience with NHibernate, Entity Framework.

·  Experience in MVC Architecture.

·  Web Services and Web API concepts and implementation.

·  Knowledge and experience in Windows Communication Foundation (WCF).

·  Development experience in Java, J2EE development environments.

·  Development of decoupled systems using messaging; specifically, experience with WebSphere MQ 7.

·  Experience in Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Rancher.

Education And Experience:

·  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent plus 2 to 5 years’ experience in the above-mentioned required skills.

·  Candidates with a degree in Computer Science but having fewer years of working experience are considered for junior developer positions.
